I am having problems with the second Scooba I purchased after only five uses. I returned the first one to the store where I purchased it because the brush broke after a month. I have had to troubleshoot problems (running out of solution, changing the tank mid-clean, the brush not clicking into place, to name a few) wayyyy too often to recommend this product. Oh, and it does NOT work on tiled floors; it will not clean the grout at all, just move the dirt around. Even those reviewers who rated the ... Read More

I recently purchased a new Scooba "Model 330" on a close-out of a national store chain - no return and no refund. When I got it home and opened the box I found the unit inside was marked as a Model 5800. Maybe that's the same thing, but I wasn't pleased to see the switch in model information between box and unit. Regardless, I charged it per instructions and put it into use.
The first problem it had was that was just a fraction of an inch too tall to pass under the edges of my kitchen ... Read More

This little robot amazed me. It gets my floors very clean every time, and doesn't leave streaks. You only need to add a small amount of liquid cleaner or vinegar to the scooba and fill it with warm water. Then go read a book while it washes your floor. After its done, maintaining it is easy. Empty the dirty water, rinse the little filter and brushes and return it to charge for the next time. There are a few downsides. It can get stuck under low cabinet lips (i just stick a broom handle under mine to keep ... Read More

I love the little Scooba floor mopper. It's fun to watch, and it really gets the floor clean. However, it has a major flaw--one that the manufacturers know about, and it comes with instructions about how to live with that flaw. IT HAS A PROBLEM PUTTING DOWN ANY WATER/CLEANER. When I took my Scooba out of the box, it wouldn't put down water, so I went through the troubleshooting guide, and sure enough, there was a solution. It said that sometimes the pumps get stuck and need to be primed...they even send ... Read More

Sigh... I miss my Scooba so much!
I got my Scooba shortly after my daughter started crawling. We live in a small apartment with hard floors and the constant cleaning and anxiety about cleaning was driving me nuts!
As you might guess, with a new baby we didn't have a lot of money so I did not take the $300 for this lightly. I also bought a service plan, since I have worked with small appliances before and planned to use this guy a lot!
Well! To the point of things, I love Scooba! He would mop ... Read More
