Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great product!
The Eureka canister 3670G is a great product. I have a good upright vac for my deep pike carpets, but I needed a small canister to replace my 15-year-old Dirt Devil which had served me so well. All I wanted was a similar small, lightweight plastic canister vac for kitchen and bathroom tile and to clean out the car, etc. After much searching I found the 3670G Eureka (12 amp). It has great suction. It pulls well and is so lightweight I can carry it easily up and down stairs.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - great vacuum
I love my new vacuum. It's not heavy, it's not too loud, it's very powerful. I use it all over the house, we have tiles in almost every room. I also use it in the bedrooms where we have carpet and it works just fine. i'm very happy with it, and will never go back to the heavy "normal" vacuums.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great Vac for the money
My law office is 2,000 square feet of carpeted and tiled floors. We have an upright and a steam vac for the carpets and they do fine. I bought this 3670G 12 amp Eureka mainly for the tiled floors, cleaning the drapes and (because of its long wands) hard to reach places behind desks and work tables. I am very pleased with it. It uses bags, but that is a good feature for us as we like bags when pulling up dust and dust mites (the bags are cheap as I just bought 24 for $12). I do not recommend this vacuum for ... Electrolux 3670G Boss Canister Vacuum 12 Amp

I found the size and capability of the vacuum was just what I wanted. It also had a bag, which I prefer to the bagless vacs. The one thing I hadn't expected was that it was somewhat noisier than my smaller Mighty Mite (same type vac). But it is efficient, and I am very happy with the product.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Hard working little vac
We own a cleaning company and use the commercial version of this little vacuum almost exclusively. When we got a contract for a post construction cleaning for a condo complex we did not want to use our "good" Mighty Mites so we purchased this model because it was cheap. It cost less than half of the commercial model but had the smaller motor. We figured it was a throw away and truly didn't expect it to last thru the contract.

However, it's now 2 years later and this vacuum is STILL plugging along! ... Read More

The first powered cleaner employing a vacuum was patented and produced by H. Cecil Booth, a British engineer, in 1901. He noticed a device used in trains that blew dust off the chairs, and thought it would be much more useful to have one that sucked dust. He tested the idea by laying a handkerchief on the seat of a dinner chair, putting his mouth to it and sucking hard. Upon seeing the dust and dirt collected on the underside of the handkerchief he realized the idea could work. Booth created a large device, known as Puffing Billy, driven first by an oil engine, and later by an electric motor. It was drawn by horses and parked outside the building to be cleaned. Booth never achieved great success with his invention.
