Rating: - West Bend Slow Cooker
Well, it's not the same cooker I bought some 30 year's ago. The metal is much thinner and lighter, there are no handles on the pot, and the price was almost 3 times as much as my original cooker. It does cook slow though. I wish I had the old one back...

Rating: - Would not recommend, low setting is much too high
The lowest setting on this cooker boiled water within 30 minutes, which is NOT what you should look for in a slow cooker. I ended up returning it and buying a $6 slow cooker from Goodwill which worked MUCH MUCH better and could handle cooking food for over 6-8 hours without burning. This cooker should not be called a slow cooker at all.

I would recommend just going to a garage sale or thrift store and picking up one of those old, ugly brown cookers from the 60's/70's, they work great ... Read More

Rating: - GREAT SLOW COOKER!
I ordered this slow cooker to replace a Rival that was 10-years-old and no longer coming up to temperature. When it first arrived, I was a bit skeptical as it appeared to be smaller than my original slow cooker, but despite its compact size, this slow cooker holds the same amount as the much bulkier Rival.

PROS: I love the fact that I can brown meats on the stove in the cooker before placing the cooker on the base to slow-cook - no need to dirty up an additional pan browning the meat. ... Read More

Rating: - Slow cooker that cooks too quickly but still worth the money !
OK so this is a great slow cooker .. it needs to be on a timer ... it's not one you can put on in the morning and it slowly simmers all day .. it, even on the lowest setting gets too hot and doesn't quite boil but gets too hot for the settings ...

That said we think it's excellent as it means that if you've left it a little late then it cooks quickly but nicely !!

So whilst it cooks far to quickly it's a great size it cleans really easily and fits enough in for a family of four ... Read More
