Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Thanks Amazon!
I tried to order this product from the DirtDevil.com website, but found the site difficult to use. After several error messages, I discovered the product was out of stock. Amazon not only had the product in stock but at a lower price than the "official site" with free shipping. Thanks Amazon!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Best place to find these
This has the best price I could find. Target sold the vacumn cleaner at a discount for Christmas of 2007 and 2008 but does not carry the filters...How stupid are they. I also could not find them at Fleet Farm, Walmart or my local hardware staore.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great deal, great service
I was surprised to find two filters here for a 3rd less than they were charging for one at a local vacuum store - the only place I could even find them. I bought two pair and paid no shipping and they were at my house in less than a week. They were followed by an email with a $ off coupon. I will definitely be buying all of my filters here from now on.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - found it!
Looked around a bit for this (wasted gas) and couldn't even find it at target, where I had bought the vaccuum. Almost bought the wrong thing at a store and then decided to buy online. Half the price and a double pack. Good buy, works as expected.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great price, excellent customer service
I recd the pkg ten days late, not because it was shipped late, but the mailman left it in someone else's box. I called the seller, and they promptly offered to mail me another set but requested I wait couple more days. I am glad I did, because the suspense of the missing pkg was solved when I found it next day.

The seller (GoVacuum) was very polite and cooperative. I will buy from them again (via Amazon)

The only recommendation I have for the seller is to buy the Delivery ... Read More

The first powered cleaner employing a vacuum was patented and produced by H. Cecil Booth, a British engineer, in 1901. He noticed a device used in trains that blew dust off the chairs, and thought it would be much more useful to have one that sucked dust. He tested the idea by laying a handkerchief on the seat of a dinner chair, putting his mouth to it and sucking hard. Upon seeing the dust and dirt collected on the underside of the handkerchief he realized the idea could work. Booth created a large device, known as Puffing Billy, driven first by an oil engine, and later by an electric motor. It was drawn by horses and parked outside the building to be cleaned. Booth never achieved great success with his invention.
