I have lots of gates because of lots of dogs, and some are much better than others. This is a good one. It only swings one way, which is what I wanted, but Summer has others that swing either way. Summer is always attractive and sturdy and a good buy.

I purchased this item to keep my furry boys (dogs) from my kitchen. I have a Lab and Border Collie so I purchased the tall gate. The gate works very well. I like the automatic closure - I wish these would have been around when I had small children. The only catch.....my Border Collie found a new way to the kitchen - he jumps on my dining room table and fits through a very small serving window. I was very happy when I received this product in the mail. I took it out of it's box, and assembled it in less than five minutes!! It's SO EASY to assemble. And to disassemble as well. I have to take my puppy back-and-forth between two locations and this gate is amazing in that transition!! I use the extenders at one location and not at the other. This gate is the best, by far!! I would highly recommend this gate to anyone with a puppy/dog!!

We are using this gate at the top of the basement stairs. It is very sturdy and has a safety function to keep the gate from opening down the stairs. It is a little limited on the size of opening it will fit it, but it does come with two extensions to help fit various sized openings. Very happy with this gate and its functionality.

It was just what I was looking for. My daughter is 9 months old and I needed a sturdy gate. I have it on the way down to my basement. She will stand and hold on to it and it won't move at all. I like the fact that it opens towards you and not the stairs. Very tall and good.
