Product Description:
The Froggy mezzaluna from Füri Rachael Ray brings a sense of fun to even the most mundane chopping and mincing tasks. Originally from Italy and meaning 'half moon,' a mezzaluna features one or two parallel curved blades, very sharp, that rock back and forth to chop, mince, and dice everything from parsley, basil, and garlic to walnuts and chocolate. The double-bladed Froggy mezzaluna is topped by a bright green handle amusingly shaped with frog eyes, and made from polypropylene and rubber with antimicrobial protection. The same comfortable handle is found on Rachael Ray's Gusto-Grip knives. Even kids will want to try using this kitchen tool, but parental supervision is advised.

Also included in the three-piece set are a wooden cutting board and a non-slip mat that keeps the board steady on a countertop. Measuring 13-1/2 by 1 by 7-3/4 inches, the reversible board features a bowl-shaped well on one side to accommodate the mezzaluna blades during chopping, and is flat on the other side. Wash the board and mat by hand after use; the mezzaluna is dishwasher-safe. --Ann Bieri

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - yes and no
I both like, and dislike this product. It is very sharp, and it even cuts through raw potato like nothing. The problem is that unless you're starting with something very small, stuff gets caught between the blades and can be very difficult to get out without cutting yourself. I like it but I'm constantly afraid someone's going to get hurt while using it!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Mezzaluna Review
Amazing! I love it! Works like a dream! The duo blades really help in the ease of use. I have used it to chop chocolate, herbs, garlic, vegetables, with just 30-60 seconds of work going back and forth, done! I highly recommend this product for any cook that regularly chops and/or minces. It is wonderful!!!!

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Pretty, but...
I saw this and just had to have it. I love the color and the cutting board is of good quality. The blades are super sharp, so beware. After using the Froggy, I found I prefer cutting herbs and ect with a good chef knife. It is easier to control where the blade is going. I'm thinking of getting a traditional Mezzaluna with only one blade instead. It would be nice if this came with something to store the blades in. The plastic covers that it came with are easily cut through, and don't last. ... Read More

I love this little tool for chopping herbs. So easy to handle and it does a great job in a short time.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - No big deal
I'm giving this item a 3 rating because I think it's just okay. Overpriced and overrated. On the other hand, my husband loves it. I just couldn't seem to get the right rocking motion needed to make it work well.

The other thing that really bothers me is that there is no protective cover for the blade, and they are very large and sharp!

The first powered cleaner employing a vacuum was patented and produced by H. Cecil Booth, a British engineer, in 1901. He noticed a device used in trains that blew dust off the chairs, and thought it would be much more useful to have one that sucked dust. He tested the idea by laying a handkerchief on the seat of a dinner chair, putting his mouth to it and sucking hard. Upon seeing the dust and dirt collected on the underside of the handkerchief he realized the idea could work. Booth created a large device, known as Puffing Billy, driven first by an oil engine, and later by an electric motor. It was drawn by horses and parked outside the building to be cleaned. Booth never achieved great success with his invention.
