We have a rescued dog who has turned out to have severe separation anxiety, so we're trying many different things to help him. We read all the reviews of this product and hoped it would help our dog -- but unfortunately, it hasn't made a difference for him. That doesn't mean it's not a good product, though -- from the research we did, it IS helpful to many of the dogs out there, even though it hasn't helped ours. My dog is sweet, yet acutely insane... She barks at the slightest sound. She's easily startled- which leads to loud relentless barking. Bark collars didn't work, so I needed something else. I got a 5 month old Cane Corso puppy from a breeder. She was terrified when I took her home. The first week she spent her time under my kitchen table shaking. With in hours of plugging the diffuser in on the 7th day she started to calm down and stop shaking. 1 day later she started coming to me instead of hiding in a ball. She is a different puppy already.

D.A.P. worked to calm my dog enough that he no longer paces the room during the night. Did not work, however, for our terribly OCD dog. She needed serious medication. I've already bought the refills for D.A.P. plug-in and will keep using it. I think it works.

This DAP pheromone product helped my dog calm down and stop nervous biting of himself. I got the plug in because I wanted to keep the concentration in the room similar for a few weeks without having to remember to spray. I think this is a very helpful product and will use it for the next 6 months to establish new play behaviors and chewing on bones.
