The Bissell SpotBot Pet might actually be a dog or cat owner's best friend. Puppy training 'accidents,' spit-up hairballs, the occasional half-eaten chicken carcass: with pets in the house, cleaning challenges come with the territory. Some of the worst mishaps happen when there's no one around, creating set-in stains that resist the most stubborn scrubbing with a sponge or rag. This pet-friendly compact deep cleaner does all its work hands free, meaning users can fold laundry, wash dishes, even walk the carcass-scatterer while the mess gets cleaned up. To use, clear away excess debris and place the cleaner over the spot. Once engaged, the SpotBot Pet's unique Automatic Smart System measures just the right amount of cleaner and water and sprays it onto the cleaning area. Next, the machine's spiral brushing action scrubs away spots and odors, while its heavy-duty suction draws up both water and stains. Users can choose one of one of two pre-programmed settings, a three-minute cycle for fresh or surface dirt or longer for set-in stains. A beep announces when the cycle is finished, and the pause/resume function puts the cleaning process on hold if need be. I highly recommend this great little machine. It is a must have for pets and kids! It has the power of a large upright with an easier clean up. It does have some drawbacks so I have some recommendations for use that aren't in the manual.
If you are thinking of getting a cordless version of the bissell or any other brand - DON'T! These machines are only as good as their power and batteries cannot provide the power to suck like one that you plug to the wall. This one has a generous ... Read More

Wow! This thing is great. We purchased it as part of our wedding gifts. My husband was skeptical. However, it is perfect. We had a light gray berber carpet in terrible shape, between 2 gastro-intestinally challenged cats and 4 kids who like orange soda. This machine is my favorite Christmas present! It does steps, can do your boat, cottage, trailer, or spots around the house. Very handy to carry and store. As far as expense, once I ran out of the solutions, I use hot water and white vinegar (half and half) works great. I will buy the solutions when I'm out, but white vinegar is great for getting out pet odors and stains. Call Hagopian Carpet services if you question this. When I first got my cleaner last year I would have given this a low 5 stars only because I didn't like the amount of cleaner it used. It seems like you use a lot of solution for such a small area being cleaned. Also (and this would be more abouth the solution they have with the product than the product itself) the solution must be sticky or attract dirt because the spots I have cleaned tend to get dirty much quicker - leaving darker colored spots where you have cleaned, after a few weeks.

I've had the SpotBot for about 4 months now and love it. It is seriously the best cleaning device I've ever owned. My large dog has a habit of eating things he shouldn't and throwing up in the middle of the night. We usually wake up enough to get the big chunks picked up and throw a wet towel over it until morning. No matter how hard I scrubbed, there was always a stain because we let it sit overnight.
