Editorial Review:

No special expertise is required to cut professional-looking slices, thick or thin, from roasts, ham, turkey, and bread with the powerful 100-watt electric knife in this carving set. Just grasp the handle, pull the trigger, draw the knife in a straight line, and let the two serrated blades, which saw back and forth at high speed, do the work. It's effortless and safe. The knife comes with a two-pronged fork in a compact (15 by 5 by 2-7/8 inches) storage case made of flexible plastic, with a foam insert molded to hold the set. The 7-1/2-inch knife blades and the 12-inch fork are made of stainless steel. The fork is dishwasher-safe, but the blades should be hand washed in hot, soapy water. --Fred Brack

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Absolutely trash-worthy!
I bought this electric knife to replace a 25-year old Sunbeam model which needed to be replaced. I use it weekly to slice homemade bread, and much less often for meat and other uses.

In so many ways, this product deserved to be tossed into the trash, but fortunately I still had the receipt so was able to return it. I hated to do it, because I feel sorry for the person who buys it next.

The handle is large and bulky. I do not have small hands, and I play the piano so ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Not Cordless
When I searched the site for an electric knife, I specified "cordless" and this one came up. But it's not cordless, so when you're working with it you have to wrestle with the cord. Otherwise it works fine. An electric knife is the only way to slice a turkey.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - DON"T Buy It!
This electric knife works so poorly I cannot believe that it is being sold. Anyone who gives it a good rating must not know how an electric knife works or, I got a defective one.

It was an EFFORT to slice through a turkey breast. I finally got out a regular carving knife. This electric knife is a piece of junk.

I bought this to replace an old, cheap proctor-silex one I had purchased at Kmart 15 years ago (worked great until the thing that holds the blades together broke off). ... Read More

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - hard to grip
I used this last night for the first time for carving my T-giving turkey. It STINKS. The handle, when slick with grease from the turkey, is nearly impossible to hold. Your hand slips forward and it is nearly impossible to push the button. I had to use two hands to hold it, which is less than desirable. Plus, it barely had enough power to cut through some real small ligaments. Overall, not worth your time. Why they make it with a slippery plastic with nothing to provide a sure non-slip gripping surface ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Hamilton Beach Electric Knife
Hamilton Beach has always been an excellent product. This one is no exception. It even came with a carving fork which I didn't expect. You can't go wrong with this product.

kPa. The higher the suction rating, the more powerful the cleaner. One inch of water is equivalent to about 249 Pa; hence, the typical suction is 80 inches of water.
