Amazon.com Product Review:
The handy wet/dry vacuum that goes anywhere, Shop-Vac's AllAround has the power of a full-size vacuum with all the convenience of a handheld model. The AllAround is equipped with an 18-foot cord for plenty of reach. A 3-gallon waist canister is great for sucking up and containing wet and dry messes. Equipped with an extra-quiet 8 amp motor, this vacuum cleans up one room without drowning out the conversation nearby or deafening eardrums during extended cleanup operations. A 1-1/4-inch-diameter hose sucks up the big stuff and locks on tight to keep air clear of nasty debris and dust. The vacuum's broad handle is easy to grab at any angle for smooth transport with this handheld model. And, smooth-rolling canisters ensure easy transfer from room to room. The purchase is covered by manufacturer 3-year warranty. --Brian D. Olson

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Easy to use
We really love using this vacuum. It's light weight and easy to use. Just pull the canister around with you, it's stable and rolls well. We like it so much we are using it instead of our heavy central vacuum. Strong vacuum, doesn't make a lot of noise.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Annoying narrow tubes keep getting clogged
Suction on this is ok...but the problem is that the tubes are too narrow on this shopvac. I have to constantly stop the vac to figure out which section of the tube has material stuck in it to clear out. Very frustrating since I only use it to clear things in the gararge and patio. Plus, the connector for tubing into the vac bag has a bend in it that also further adds to the clog problem. An additional frustration is that the filter is a bit hard to find for this specific unit. So now, I must ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Good Little Vac for Houshold Use
This vacuum delivers the suction of a larger shop vac in a compact size. It's light and easy to carry. My house is all ceramic tile and I have a dog that sheds like crazy. I have to vacuum everyday just to keep up. This vac is quieter that it's larger cousins. The hose diameter is smaller than the 6gal that I am replacing so it probably wouldn't be good for garage cleanup unless it's only dirt and sawdust.

The attachments are NOT on board and that would be nice so they aren't floating ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Just What I Wanted
I live and craft in the country and need a heavy-duty vacuum but have arthritis and CMP so have pain issues with the heavy or unwieldy. This little gem is easy to use, powerful enough to pick up everything from pea gravel to fine sawdust, and light enough to lift on my worst pain days. Comes with every attachment and filter one could wish for, except a beater head for carpets, and doesn't like to be run for more than 10 or 15 minutes at a time. So, if you plan on vacuuming your entire house after you do ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Name Says It All
I operate a small park maintenance office, and I was looking for a small no-nonsense shop vacuum. I looked at the local chain store home improvement warehouses, and they carry a very limited and low quality selection. So I ended up buying the original shop vac on Amazon for less!Even with free super saver shipping, the product arrived in less than 48 hours! This is another example of why Amazon is getting my business while the lame brick and mortar merchants keep trying to sell the same old junk. Thank you ... Read More

Vacuum cleaners working on the cyclone principle became popular in the 1990s, although some companies (notably Filter Queen) have been making similarly-designed vacuum cleaners since at least the 1960s. Modern cyclonic cleaners were adapted from industrial cyclonic separators by James Dyson in 1985. He launched his cyclone cleaner first in Japan in the 1980s at a cost of about US$1,800 and later the Dyson DC01 upright in the UK in 1995 for £200. It was expected that people would not buy a vacuum cleaner at twice the price of a normal cleaner, but it later became the most popular cleaner in the UK.
